Russell PerkinsFounder and Managing Director. Russell has over 25 years experience in all facets of the database publishing industry. Most recently, Russell was President/CEO of Dorland Healthcare Information, a venture capital-backed database information company serving the healthcare industry that is now a division of UCG Holdings. Prior to that, Russell was Vice-President of what is now a division of ALM. Previous to that, Russell was Group President at North American Media, where he was responsible for development and launch of its of media information and graphic arts industry databases. Russell has also been a staff consultant at AT&T, and an editor at ThomasNet. Russell is also the founder Morgan-Rand, Inc. a publishing and consultancy firm serving the yellow pages and specialty directory markets. Morgan-Rand produced the Report on Directory Publishing, a monthly newsletter, and the National Directory Conference, both of which were sold to SIMBA Information, now a unit of, and re-acquired in 2003. Russell is the author of Directory Publishing: A Practical Guide, which is now in its fifth edition, and InfoCommerce: Internet Strategies for Database Publishers.

Minal Bopaiah, Managing Director. Minal’s 17 years of experience spans both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. By working with start-up and established publications that are looking to stay profitable and relevant in a changing media landscape, she brings a numbers-driven mindset to all her work. At the same time, her work with notable nonprofits like Doctors Without Borders and Sesame Workshop has helped her discover how to best use media and marketing to increase audience engagement and change hearts and minds with limited resources.

Minal previously served as Executive Editor of Subscription Insider, an online business publication for marketing executives looking to optimize subscription revenues. She has been an invited speaker at many industry events, including SIPA, SIIA, Folio:’s MediaNext, the Financial Publisher’s Roundtable, DataContent, and the Specialist Media Show. She is also the author of the 2013 Online Subscription Industry Benchmark Report and the 2014 Email Marketing Benchmark Report.  

She has also served as a communications manager and lead digital strategist for Population Services International, a global non-profit with an annual budget of $600 million. There, she helped develop capacity-building workshops in digital skills, as well as advised senior management on website development.

Scott Taylor, Managing Director. Scott is a senior sales and marketing executive with over twenty five years of experience providing information technology, promotional media and trade solutions with widely acknowledged and passionate subject matter expert in master data management, identification systems, data standards and related fields.

Prior to ICG, Scott was Executive Vice-President of NielsenLinx, where he headed multiple initiatives to commercialize internal Nielsen reference data on brands, locations, media and entertainment as well as to launch a master data management services offering for advertising agencies, media stewardship system providers and global CPG manufacturers. Scott was also Executive Vice President and General Manager of TD Linx, the predecessor company to NielsenLinx. While at TD Linx, which was the leader in leader in location information, identification services and customer master maintenance for CPG manufacturers, beverage alcohol suppliers, marketing, merchandising and promotional services companies and software and system providers, Scott grew company revenue by over 1,000% to over $23 million.

Scott is a recognized authority on master data management, and is the author of a Microsoft-sponsored white paper entitled Master Data Management for Media Business Leaders.

Megan St. JohnManaging Director. A 25-year veteran of the publishing and information business, Megan has run operations for both large and small companies across a wide array of industry specialties and formats. Megan is the former president of Simba Information, Inc., recognized as the leading authority for market intelligence and forecasts in the media and publishing industries. Simba Information, which produced newsletters, directories, magazines and market research products, as well as industry conferences, is now a unit of Prior to Simba, Megan was publisher of PBI Media's Electronic Commerce Group, comprising a roster of 16 newsletters on the technologies and transactions of the extended enterprise. PBI Media, now renamed Access Intelligence, publishes magazines, newsletters and directories for the electronic commerce, aviation, defense, and telecommunications industries and is a VS&A Communications Partners III portfolio company. Before joining PBI, Megan was Vice President, Corporate Development at Achieve Global, world leader in corporate training and development, where she directed the company's strategic planning, customer service satisfaction measurement, and research activities around the world. For ICG clients, Megan leads engagements focusing on areas such as product development and evolution, market positioning, customer research and overall corporate strategy. She is also a frequent speaker at industry events and forums.

Janice McCallum has been actively involved in publishing and marketing information products for over twenty-five years. She is managing director of Health Content Advisors, a division of InfoCommerce Group that specializes in strategic marketing services for healthcare publishers, health IT and device companies, data analytics firms, and investors in the healthcare sector.

Prior to InfoCommerce Group, Janice co-founded and led a market research company, GrandView Insight, and served in a number of product management roles at pioneering digital information services companies, including Dialog Information Services, Individual, Inc., and DeepCanyon, a Hewlett Packard company. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, Inc.

Janice has an MBA in marketing from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and a BA in economics and French from Simmons College.

Andy’s leadership role in the digital transformation included the conceptual development and commercial launch of – a comprehensive content identification, title management, online/social network marketing and search engine optimization (SEO) platform for the book publishing industry. Recognizing the increasing role of social media and search engines in book discovery, Andy’s product development efforts included the creation and launch of Bowker’s SEO Title Cards and interactive widgets that make publisher title data and full-text content shareable and portable into Facebook, MySpace, LibraryThing, Shelfari and dozens of leading or emerging social media channels used by readers. Andy is also credited with orchestrating international support and enterprise agreements for the identification of e-books using the ISBN standard from leading search engines and digital retailers including Google and Amazon.


Andrew Weissberg is an ICG Consulting Affiliate. Andy led P&L and digital transformation of Bowker's Identifier Services strategic business unit which includes the U.S. ISBN Agency, ISTC Agency, ISNI Agency and Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Agency. On behalf of Bowker, served as a member of the International ISBN Agency Board of Directors and on several additional ISO-Standards Information Services industry Boards, including the International ISTC Agency and International ISNI Agency. In this capacity, Andy played a leadership role in developing and securing consensus approval of the associated market/business/technical requirements for each Standard from ISO (International Organization for Standardization) in cooperation with supply chain stakeholders and multi-national industry organizations.

Prior to joining Bowker, Andy previously served as General Manager, Electronic Media for Advanstar Communications’ Life Sciences Group. In this role, he worked collaboratively with continuing medical education (CME) leadership, editorial, sales and technology teams to advance Advanstar’s strategic focuses on interactive promotion, market intelligence and e-learning.

Roxanne Christensen, Managing Director. Roxanne has over 20 years of experience in the database and journals publishing business. She has worked as Circulation Director at MLR Publishing Company, where she managed publications such as Directors & Boards, Mergers & Acquisitions, Family Business Magazine and theMedical and Healthcare Marketplace Guide.Roxanne was previously Director of Conferences at Morgan-Rand, where she launched the National Directory Conference. Roxanne was also involved in the launch of dNET Online Services, an early e-commerce initiative for the directory industry. Most recently, Roxanne was Operations Director for Dorland Healthcare Information, where among other responsibilities, she was involved in online product launches and marketing.

George Lindsey, Managing Director. George is a Certified Public Accountant with deep experience in the publishing industry, where he rose to become President of Nelson Information, now a unit of Thomson Financial, a leader in the financial database information industry serving the institutional investment community. George has worked as Controller at Seghers Newsham Genetics, an agricultural genetics firm, in addition to working as Controller for Backpacker Magazine. George's public accounting experience includes a senior staff position at Bolon, Hart & Turley, and a partnership at Thomas J. Eckenrode & Co.
